BA increases fuel surcharge

British Airways announced it will increase its fuel surcharge on international services from 08-Apr-2011 (Sky News, 05-Apr-2011). Economy class passenger on services under nine hours will see their fuel surcharge increase from GBP75 to GBP85 one-way while the fuel surcharges on longer services will be increased from GBP88 to GBP98. For premium passengers, the fuel surcharge will be increased from GBP105 to GBP125 on long-haul services under nine hours and from GBP125 to GBP145 for services longer services. There will be no increase in the fuel surcharge on domestic and short-haul flights. BA's fuel surcharge hike is the third in five months.
