Azerbaijan Airlines to expand fleet with more than 20 new generation aircraft

Azerbaijan Airlines, via its official Facebook account, announced (03-Dec-2019) plans to expand its fleet with more than 20 new generation Airbus and Boeing aircraft to support network development. The carrier signed an agreement for two Boeing 777s, expected to enter service on new routes in 2021 to 2022. Azerbaijan Airlines president Jahangir Askerov said the carrier plans to further develop its relationship with Boeing and consider the possibility of acquiring eight 787s and three 777s to support long haul operations. Azerbaijan Airlines is also negotiating the delivery of 10 A320neo aircraft.
