Association of Flight Attendants says lack of strike threat in the US creates challenges

Association of Flight Attendants, International President Sara Nelson, speaking at the CAPA Americas Aviation Summit, stated (12-Apr-2016) the regulation governing US airline contract negotiations, the Railway Labour Act, has been interpreted to mean a strike is never possible. If both sides recognised the value of strike action, it would encourage those parties work more quickly to reach collective bargaining agreements, she stated.
