Argentina forecasts tourism to grow 10% annually until 2020

Argentina's Government launched (22-Sep-2010) a plan to promote investment in the national tourism industry. Argentinian Tourism Ministry forecasts tourist numbers will increase 10% p/a until 2020, compared with the world average of 4.1%. The investment campaign will focus on China, the US, London and other cities in Europe. A promotional agreement between British Airways and the National Institute of Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR) was signed at the launch of the plan. British Airways is scheduled to launch London-Buenos Aires service in Mar-2011. A total of 25 international airlines operate into Argentina.
