ANA expresses concern over JAL's bankrupty protection

All Nippon Airways (ANA) expressed (19-Jan-2010) concern that JAL's bankruptcy protection will result in the an unfair competitive environment in Japan. [more - ANA] ANA meanwhile received (19-Jan-2010) a 'Request of co-operation to provide alternative transportation for JAL customers from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau. Upon request from the Bureau, ANA stated it would offer maximum measures of assistance, such as providing flight protection. [more - ANA]

All Nippon Airways: "We believe it is important to secure customer convenience by the injection of public funding. However, we are also highly concerned that the fair and competitive environment would not be secured under the financial support and injection of public funding.We will see the content of the rehabilitation plan, and will convey our view to the respective Department," Company Statement, 19-Jan-2010.
