Amadeus IT Holding profits up in 3Q2011

Amadeus IT Holding revenue up 3% - financial highlights for three months ended 30-Sep-2011:

  • Revenue from continuing operations: EUR670.8 million, +3.3% year-on-year;
    • Distribution: EUR508.8 million, +3.4%;
    • IT: EUR162.0 million, +3.0%;
  • EBITDA from continuing operations: EUR263.5 million, +6.0%;
  • Adjusted profit from continuing operations: EUR136.8 million, +36.6%;
  • Capital expenditure: EUR59.7 million, -9.4%;
  • Total bookings: 112.1 million, +5.3%;

Amadeus: “During the first nine months, in Distribution our global market share of air travel agency bookings increased by 0.9 percentage points and air travel agency bookings increased by 4.8%, whilst in IT Solutions the number of Passengers Boarded increased by 21.0% to 327.5 million - we now expect our annual Passengers Boarded to be more than 725 million by 2014,” Luis Maroto, President & CEO.
