Airbus: China will need 200 A380s and 1000 A350s over next 20-years

Airbus CEO Fabrice Brégier forecast China will be the biggest market for the A380 and will require around 200 A380s as well as 1000 A350 aircraft over the next 20 years, adding "for A380 market growth, we are chasing 5% per year at the world level and 10% in China". As reported by China Daily, The Beijing News and YNet.com, Mr Brégier said as Chinese air traffic develops, Chinese carriers will operate more international routes, which are suitable for the A380. Mr Brégier also added the A380 could help traffic flow and congestion issues plaguing China's major aviation hubs including Beijing and Shanghai. Mr Brégier estimates industry cooperation between the manufacturer and China will continue to increase to more than USD500 million in 2016. He also estimated that China Southern Airlines' A380 operation will be profitable in 2015.
