airBaltic to enter winter season with improved service

airBaltic announced (20-Sep-2012) plans to increase frequencies across its network in the winter 2012/2013 schedule. airBaltic CEO Martin Gauss said, "Our robust airBaltic ReShape programme has helped us to achieve positive results in the high season in summer. Our winter flight programme has been very carefully considered, to preserve what we achieved in the summer, while at the same time maintaining and improving a vital air infrastructure for both business and leisure travellers to and from Riga or any other of our destinations". Mr Gauss also said the airline has improved service on routes were demand and results are strong. The airline will make the following adjustments to its schedule in winter 2012/2013 (compared to winter 2011/2012):

  • Riga-London Gatwick: Frequency increase from seven to eight times weekly;
  • Riga-Paris Charles de Gaulle: Frequency increase from seven to nine times weekly;
  • Riga-Brussels: Frequency increase from eight to 10 times weekly;
  • Riga-Amsterdam: Frequency increase from seven to nine times weekly;
  • Riga-Vienna: Frequency increase from seven to 10 times weekly;
  • Riga-Munich: Frequency from seven to 10 times weekly;
  • Riga-Dusseldorf: Frequency increase from four to five times weekly;
  • Riga-Billund: Frequency increase from three to four times weekly;
  • Riga-Bergen: Frequency increase from three to four times weekly. [more - original PR]
