Air New Zealand passenger numbers up 5.9% - traffic highlights in Aug-2010:

- Short-haul: 849,000, +6%;
- Domestic: 622,000, +4.9%;
- Tasman/Pacific: 226,000, +8.7%;
- Long-haul: 129,000, +5.7%:
- Asia/Japan/UK: 54,000, +12.5%;
- North America/UK: 75,000, +1.4%;
- Short-haul: 849,000, +6%;
- Passenger load factor: 81.9%, +1.5 ppts;
- Short-haul: 80.9%, +2.3 ppts;
- Domestic: 78.9%, +2.6 ppts;
- Tasman/Pacific: 82%, +2.2 ppts;
- Long-haul: 82.5%, +0.8 ppt;
- Asia/Japan/UK: 81.4%, +1.8 ppts;

Air New Zealand: "Group-wide yields for the financial year to date were up 4.5% on the same period last year. Compared to last August, year-to-date short-haul yields were down 1.1%, as the airline continued to lower fares which stimulated demand, and the respective long-haul yields were up by 11.5%.
