Air India defers delivery of B777s and B787s, seeks to lease out new B777s

India's Minister for Civil Aviation, Praful Patel, reportedly announced Air India has deferred the delivery of three B777-300ER aircraft past 2010 and 27 B787 aircraft past the scheduled delivery period, commencing in Apr-2011 (The Hindu Business Line, 25-Nov-2009). Updated delivery dates were not disclosed. Air India also reportedly plans to lease out three new B777-200LR aircraft.
