Air India considers delaying B787 deliveries: reports

Air India is reportedly considering requesting Boeing to defer deliveries of its B787 equipment due to lack of available cash to fund the purchases (Bloomberg, 08-Jun-2011). The carrier, which is due to be the second operator of the B787, will reportedly not cancel the entire order of 27 B787s. Air India and Boeing are reportedly in discussions regarding the airline's demand for USD840 million in compensation for the B787 delays.
