Air Canada's labour agreement upset by opposition from pilots to LCC plan

Air Canada announced a tentative agreement between it and its pilots' union has met opposition from a group of pilots who resent the carrier's plans to launch a new LCC (Reuters/Financial Post/The Globe and Mail, 13-Apr-2011). Air Canada is offering extra working hours for pilots to work for its LCC to override the lower base wages. The group is also concerned about the lack of an explicit endorsement for the labour pact from the union's leadership.
