Air Algerie cabin crew end four-day strike
Air Algerie cabin crew have ended their four-day strike after mediation by the office of Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia (AFP, 15-Jul-2011). Services from Algeria resumed this morning (15-Jul-2011). Air Algerie CEO Mohamed Salah Boultif stated he was “open to dialogue” with employees on the condition they returned to work. While the 106% pay rise demanded by the strikers was not met, the Algerian government will look into finding a “fair agreement that takes into account the financial possibilities of the airline”.
