Aer Lingus strikes averted

Aer Lingus and IALPA, the pilots brand of IMPACT, stated strike action has been averted with the two side agreeing to proposals aimed at addressing pay and conditions issues raised by IALPA, which will be put to union members this week (RTE/Reuters, 06-Jun-2011). After protracted negotiations at Ireland's Labour Relations Commission, work-to-rule industrial action has been called off in Belfast, Dublin and Cork. Aer Lingus said it will operate a full schedule on Tuesday 07-Jun-2011.
