Abacus International sees shift in Chinese traveller types and need to improve tourism services

Abacus International president and CEO Robert Baily, speaking at the CAPA Australia Pacific Aviation Summit, stated (07-Aug-2013) the infrastructure and service provision and ethos for countries serving Chinese tourists needs to evolve, with increasing amounts of independent travellers. First time Chinese travellers still tend to travel in groups, but repeat and more affluent travellers have different objectives and are more likely to travel as individuals.
