Tickets most affordable on Air Serbia sales channels

Direct News Source

Air Serbia is introducing a new global commercial strategy from the upcoming summer season, which begins on 28 March 2021. The overall goals of the new strategy will be for the national airline of Serbia to establish more direct contact with its passengers and to offer them the best possible prices via direct sales channels of Air Serbia, which include the airserbia.com website, a new company application for mobile devices, ticket purchase via Contact Centre or at Air Serbia retail shops. Aligned with the practices applied by the world's largest carriers, the new strategy will thus also provide a more even distribution of the costs of services in the ticket sales chain, as well as the opportunity of quickly and directly informing passengers in case of any changes in the schedule.

"The new strategy brings Air Serbia closer than ever to its passengers. Our passengers will always experience the best pricing by shopping for travel directly with Air Serbia, which will not necessarily be available with other shopping outlets which market Air Serbia flights. In order to catch the offered value and achieve the beneficial pricing, please make sure your booking is made directly with Air Serbia, either by you, or by your travel planning provider," said Jiri Marek, General Manager Commercial and Strategy Air Serbia.

From the beginning of the renewal of air traffic in May to the end of December 2020, 47% of the total number of sold air tickets were purchased through Air Serbia's direct channels, i.e. through the website, mobile application, Contact Centre and Air Serbia Retail shops which represents an increase of 52% compared to the same period in 2019. Major contributors of the direct channel growth are online sales, with the recent introduction of the mobile application and the continuous improvement of the national airline's website. The growth trend of online sales is supported by the fact that it is a contactless and secure model, which is especially suitable in the current circumstances of the coronavirus pandemic.

Passengers can buy airline tickets using airserbia.com, Mobile Application or through the Air Serbia Contact Centre, by calling 0800 111 528 from Serbia and +381 11 311 21 23 from abroad. Also, the purchase of airline tickets is possible in Air Serbia retail shops in Belgrade - Bulevar kralja Aleksandra 17, open on weekdays from 8 am to 8 pm, in the retail shop in Jurija Gagarina 12, open on weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm and in the retail shop at the Airport Nikola Tesla Belgrade, open every day from 4 am to 1 am the next day.
