New Qantas points earn opportunity on Qantas Club Membership

01-Aug-2017 From today Qantas Frequent Flyers will have a new way to earn Qantas Points through the purchase of Qantas Club membership.Bronze and Silver members can now earn three Qantas Points for every dollar they spend on their join and annual Qantas Club membership fee using cash or their bank card[i].Gold, Platinum and Platinum One Frequent Flyer members will continue to have complimentary Qantas Club membership including lounge access as part of their tier benefits.For the first time in three years, there are also new Qantas Club join and renewal membership fees with a small price increase of less than six per cent on Individual, Partner, and Corporate memberships. The number of Qantas Points required for redemption will also increase.This increase reflects the investment made in new lounge facilities across the network with nearly 30 lounges opened or refreshed in the last three years with another four projects underway.For example, the one year Individual membership will increase from $510 to $540 which would earn Qantas Frequent Flyer members 1,620 Qantas Points if paying with cash or card.Qantas Business Rewards members will continue to receive 10 per cent off the Qantas Club Individual Membership fees (including join and membership fees). There is no increase to the Guest membership fees.Benefits of Qantas Club membership
