Network update for Asia flights

Qantas is making adjustments to two routes on its Asia network from March next year in response to customer demand, and to better utilise its fleet.

Sydney-Hong Kong service re-time
From 31 March 2019, one of our two daily Sydney-Hong Kong services will be re-timed to depart Sydney in the evening, offering customers a choice of either a morning or evening departure from Sydney.

The retimed QF117 service from Sydney will operate overnight and arrive into Hong Kong in the morning, providing more options for onward connections to other destinations in Asia with our codeshare partners, including those serviced by our new codeshare partner Cathay Pacific.

As previously announced, QF127/128 will also be operated using our Boeing 787 Dreamliner six days a week. Hong Kong is the first destination in Asia to receive the Qantas Dreamliner featuring the spacious cabin layout and our next-generation seating.

Perth-Singapore service
As our customers know, we adjusted out Perth-Singapore schedule in July 2018 and moved to a daily A330-200 flight for QF71/72, in lieu of a double daily B737.

QF71/72 will continue to operate daily with an A330-200 from 31 March 2019, offering our new Business Suite and refurbished cabin interiors. Flights QF77/78 will no longer operate.

Customers holding existing bookings for travel from 31 March 2019 who are impacted by the changes will be rebooked and provided with their new flight details.

Upgauges for Hong Kong and Singapore

Qantas will also operate larger aircraft on selected flights to Singapore and Hong Kong over coming months as part of the current season's schedule.

From now until 30 March 2019, QF71 and QF72 Perth to Singapore services will continue to be operated by the Qantas A330 rather than the Qantas 737.

It's not just a seat, it's a suite

Designed for maximum comfort and rest, Qantas' A330 Business Suite offers a new standard of luxury that redefines your customer's inflight experience. The Business Suite features the ability to recline from take-off through to landing, where customers can enjoy the comfort of a fully-flat bed to maximise rest throughout the entire flight. Customers can also choose from Neil Perry's Rockpool designed menus using the generously sized dining and work space. Plus, they can enjoy the convenience of direct aisle access from every seat.
