KLM traffic increases sharply in November

Direct News Source

08-Dec-2017 KLM Royal Dutch Airlines reported a sharp increase in traffic in November. KLM welcomed 10.2% more passengers on board than it did in November 2016. With passenger kilometer traffic growth up 7.3% and seat kilometer capacity up 5.7%, load factor rose by 1.3%pt.

"Growth was especially strong on routes to European destinations and the American continent. In Africa and the Middle East, KLM succeeded in boosting load factor by 3%, on the back of minimal capacity growth. This confirms that KLM's network strategy is still as fruitful as ever."
Pieter Elbers - KLM President & CEO

Transavia saw capacity and passenger numbers decline slightly, following the suspension of activities in Munich in late October. Load factor did increase, however. KLM Cargo also profited from growing market demand. With traffic up 6.4% on 3.9% more capacity, load factor increased by 1.7%pt.
