Terms and Conditions

  • Can be purchased online up to 6 hours prior departure

  • Online purchase of Excess Baggage is not applicable for Multicity travel

  • Standalone flights within India

    • Piece concept will be applicable for standalone flights booked for travel within India for tickets purchased effective 15th Jun'18 and travel effective 15th Jul'18.

    • Online Excess Baggage for overweight piece is available up to 5 kgs, up to 10 kgs and up to 17 kgs

    • Extra piece can be purchased for up to 23 kgs.

  • International flights and connecting flights within India

    • Online Excess Baggage is available in slabs of 5kgs, 10 kgs, 15kgs, 20kgs & 25 kgs, where piece concept is not applicable

    • Weight Concept - The discounted rate is based on the current excess baggage rate applicable at Airport Check-in.

    • Piece Concept - The discounted rate is based on the current charge of USD 140 per piece of excess baggage.

  • Excess Baggage purchase through our Manage Booking facility is not applicable for flights

  • For tickets reissued via our Contact Centre, Excess Baggage can be purchased through the Contact Centre only

  • In case the booking is cancelled as per the fare terms, amount for excess baggage purchased online will be refunded in full.

  • Guest may cancel his/her booking including excess baggage on jetairways.com, our mobile site, mobile app or through our call centre on IVR up to 2 hours prior to departure for flights within India and up to 3 hours prior to departure for international flights.

  • In case of date or time change, the excess baggage purchased will be associated to the new flight.

  • Excess baggage purchased online is non-endorsable, non-transferable and not applicable for infant.

  • No part or full refund will be permitted at the check-in counter, for baggage weighing lower than the purchased excess baggage limit. i.e. amount for unutilised excess baggage weight cannot be refunded or used on subsequent flights.

  • Refund on excess baggage purchased will be applicable:

    • If the guest chooses to cancel the flight booking or

    • If Jet Airways cancels the flight.

  • The total baggage weight including free baggage allowance and the excess baggage purchased must not exceed 32 kgs per piece.

  • Purchase of excess baggage online is applicable for guests holding a valid e-ticket having ticket number commencing with 589 series.

  • Purchase of excess baggage online is not permitted for codeshare and interline flights.

  • In case of 'No Show', excess baggage purchased online will not be refunded.

  • Excess baggage purchased must be utilised by the guest for the flight booked and for checked-in baggage only.

  • Excess baggage facility cannot be used for transportation of any type of cargo.

  • Excess Baggage online cannot be purchased multiple times for a given sector

  • Purchase of Excess Baggage online using our Manage Booking feature will be unavailable under the below mentioned scenarios:

    • For guests planning to purchase additional Excess Baggage beyond the weight/piece(s) that were already purchased at the time of booking their ticket.

    • For one or more of multiple guests booked on the same PNR, but who have not purchased excess baggage at the time of booking their ticket.

    • For guests holding return tickets and having purchased Excess Baggage for only one sector of the entire journey.

    • Payload factor and Extra ordinary circumstances and Force Majeure events also will be applicable

General Terms and Conditions as specified in the ticket and on our website applicable to the tickets also will be applicable to these Terms and Conditions.
