OMA pax rise by 0.6%; Suvarnabhumi Airport to close smoking areas in international terminal

- Passenger numbers: 918,959, +0.6%;
- Domestic: 788,138, -0.7%
- International: 130,821, +12.3%.

Thailand's Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport plans to close all smoking areas in its international terminal. The closure is to abide by ministerial regulation that prohibits smoking in public places. The Tobacco Control Committee will work with Airports of Thailand Plc (AoT) to put the Public Health Ministry regulation into practice. The airport has 18 smoking rooms for international passengers. Meanwhile, shares of AoT gained slightly by 0.7% on Tuesday (09-Nov-2010).
Aeroporto di Firenze (-1.9%) shares lost the most ground on Tuesday while Korea Airport shares rose by 4.7%.
