Aircraft lessors continued their generally positive upward movement in share prices, as global share markets hit or approached yearly highs, despite thin trade over the holiday period.
Large aircraft manufacturers were not as strong. Boeing and Embraer were only mildly positive, despite better signs emerging from the US economy, particularly on early Christmas retail trading figures. EADS, parent of Airbus, was slightly better, up 0.7%.
