Kenyan and Indian airport construction projects
SYDNEY (Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation) - Kenya Airports Authority announced (04-Oct-05) plans to commence a USD100 million expansion and upgrade project at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by Jan-06.
- Expansion of the passenger terminal from 25,660 to 55,220 sqm;
- Expansion of aircraft apron space from 200,000 to 300,000 sqm.
- 6,000 ft runway;
- New passenger terminal with aerobridges and 30 airline counters;
- New retail areas;
- Online baggage system;
- Customs and immigration facilities.
