Since the Indonesian Government set out some years ago to liberalise the country’s air services arrangements, not surprisingly there has been rapid growth in the number of Indonesian-based airlines operating both domestic and international services, and a massive uptake of flight opportunities by Indonesia’s people. This has created fresh challenges, and opportunities, for national carrier, Garuda Indonesia.
