SYDNEY (Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation) - Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced it has commenced construction of JetBlue's new terminal at NewYork JFK International Airport.
The 635,000 sqft terminal would have 26 gates and capacity for 20 million passengers p/a. The USD875 million project would be partially funded by JetBlue and is scheduled for completion by 2009. Project contracts have been awarded to Arup (planning and design), Gensler (terminal architect), DMJM Harris (airside/landside civil engineer), and Rockwell Group (interior architect), while Turner Construction holds the construction management contract.
