Chinese airline traffic shows improvement in June, Cathay continues to fall
China’s major carriers welcomed improved passenger traffic in Jun-2009, when compared to corresponding periods in 2007. Hainan Airlines and China Southern Airlines enjoyed doubled digit growth in passenger numbers while Air China also showed improvements last month. Cathay Pacific’s traffic received a massive blow as the carrier yielded to the effects of the ongoing economic recession and the swine flu outbreak.
