Rostov-on-Don Airport is an international airport located 9km east of the centre of Rostov-on-Don, in southwestern Russia. The airport is served by most major Russian airlines and is a hub for UTair Aviation and Donavia. Rostov Airport was founded in 1925, became an international airport in 1986 and regular services to foreign countries began in 1991. In 1993, the airport was privatised.

Rostov Platov Airport will be subject to testing of MRO facilities, ground handling and passenger handling from 16-Oct-2017 to 20-Nov-2017. ATC equipment testing is continuing, scheduled for completion in early Nov-2017. Rostov Platov Airport is scheduled to enter official service in Dec-2017.
