(old) Shihezi Airport
Shihezi Airport was relocated 15km southwest of Shihezi, China. Construction began on May 24, 2012, after the project received final approval in April 2012. The project received CNY335 million (USD52.3 million) in government grants including CNY136 million (USD21.3 million) from the state budget and CNY199 million (USD31.1 million) from the Civil Aviation Development Fund. The new Shihezi Huayuan Airport opened on 26-Dec-2015.
