Colombo Ratmalana Airport
Ratmalana Airport serves the capital city of Colombo, Sri Lanka. The airport operated as the only international in the region, before it was replaced by Bandaranaike International Airport in 1967. Ratmalana operates as a domestic air hub to the city, handling private and commercial services. In Mar-2017, Sri Lanka's Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation announced the airport will recommence international operations with the launch of daily Male-Colombo Ratmalana service by Maldivian. Ratmalana Airport will become the Sri Lanka’s third international airport.
