IATA: n/a
ICAO: n/a
Country: Samoa

Samoa Airways is a proposed international airline to be formed by the Government of Samoa. The start-up will be established under an memorandum of understanding between the Samoan government and Fiji Airways, with the later providing assistance during initial stages including sales, operational and maintenance support. Samoa Airways will launch scheduled services to New Zealand and Australia from Apia, replacing flights vacated by Virgin Samoa (scheduled to cease on 12-Nov-2017), with other potential services jointly manage through codeshare and interline arrangements between Fiji Airways and the new airline. Polynesian Airlines secured a Boeing 737-800, configured with eight business class seats and 162 seats in economy, under a lease agreement for the new carrier. It is expected to commence services on 14-Nov-2017 subject to approval, following the dissolution of the Virgin Samoa JV.
