KAIR Airlines, rebranded as Aero K, is a proposed South Korean LCC to be based at Cheongju Airport. Aero K plans to operate point-to-point services to destinations in North East Asia, including China, Taiwan and Japan. It is expected to commence service operations in 1H2018, with Apr-2018 as a planned launch date. The start-up placed a firm order for eight A320ceo aircraft on 13-Mar-2017. Subject to approval, the carrier will potentially become the one of six potential LCCs to be based in South Korea (in contention with other proposed Korean LCC start-ups - Fly Gangwon, uSKY, Air Pohang [launched in Feb-2018], Air daegu and Nambu Air).
