Air Astra is a proposed privately-held commercial airline to be based in Bangladesh. The carrier planned to commence domestic services in Feb-2022, operating with ATR 72-600 aircraft across a network of seven domestic routes.

Air Astra announced it formally applied to Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) for a no objection certificate (NOC) on 21-Sep-2021. CAAB awarded a NOC to Air Astra on 04-Nov-2021.

Air Astra applied to CAAB for an air operator's certificate (AOC) in Jan-2022. The start-up airline expected to take delivery of three ATR 72-600s in Feb-2022 and aimed to commence domestic services by the end of Mar-2022. A revised launch date has not been advised.
