A similar fusion is anticipated between Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa. With Lufthansa powerful not only at its Frankfurt hub/base, but also at the quickly growing Munich Airport, only 400 km from Vienna and closer to parts of western Austria than the capital itself, might Flughafen Wien also be sidelined in any such agreement?
