    Viva Aerobus launched its first services in Nov-2006. The Mexican ultra low-cost carrier operates from its main base at Monterrey Escobedo International Airport providing domestic services to Mexican Tier I cities and leisure destinations as well as to the US. The carrier also operates to other smaller regional centres. VivaAerobus was formed as a result of a strategic alliance between Grupo IAMSA, one of Mexico’s leading bus transportation providers and Irelandia Aviation, the investment vehicle of the Ryan family-founders of Ryanair.

    In Jun-2021, WestJet announced that President and CEO, Ed Sims, will retire at the end of 2021. In four years with WestJet, Mr. Sims was responsible for the successful introduction of the company's Boeing 787 long-haul aircraft, the launch of two new airline ventures, the significant expansion of WestJet's international network, as well as the continued growth of WestJet Vacations, WestJet Cargo and the WestJet Rewards program.

    Brussels Airlines, the Belgian full-service carrier based at Brussels Airport, serves destinations across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa. In April 2021, Brussels Airlines provided an update on its 'Reboot Plus' transformation programme, where it has almost completed the restructuring phase which will see a reduction in its fleet by 30% and staff numbers by 25%.

    Icelandair is the national carrier of Iceland and is based at Keflavik International Airport. The airline is part of the Icelandair Group, a publicly-traded travel company based in Reyjavik. The airline aims to leverage Iceland’s geographical location to build an international route network linking points in North America and Europe and in doing so, has been able to grow its network steadily.
