Mexican airports shares rise - share price wrap

Shares in Mexican airport operators ASUR, OMA and GAP rose 7.1%, 1.2% and 0.5%, respectively on 30-Jan-09, as new air services to the US were announced by Aeromexico, raising hopes the recent reasonable traffic growth rates can continue. Mexico has enjoyed an influx of visits from US and Canada as the peso has weakened.

Elsewhere, Beijing Airport shares rose 4.5% and Fraport 3.1%, as the company gets closer to selling its stake in loss-making Hahn Airport. Ferrovial shares dipped 2.7%
