Kingfisher submits its bid to acquire Air Sahara

SYDNEY (Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation) - Kingfisher Airlines confirmed it submitted a bid to acquire 100% of Air Sahara.

Meanwhile, Kingfisher also confirmed plans to launch an IPO by Mar-06 to raise up to USD200 million to fund fleet and route expansion plans.

Kingfisher Airlines. "We plan to raise around USD200 million in 2006 through an IPO, as part of our first phase requirement for expansion of the Kingfisher fleet", Vijay Mallya, Chief of UB Group.
