Jetstar continues to grow as parent slows in Jul-08

Jetstar transported 880,000 passengers (domestic and international) in Jul-08, an 18.9% year-on-year increase, boosted by increased World Youth Day traffic and the continued expansion of capacity as Qantas mainline contracts. Qantas Domestic and Qantas International reported passenger reductions, of 5.4% and 5.9%, respectively, in the month, resulting in a marginal increase in total Qantas Group passengers of just 0.7% year-on-year.
