JAL forecasts 2007/08 profit, Thai nears full year target, Cargo weakness "a blip" - Cathay Pacific


Japan Airlines has forecast a return to profit in the fiscal

year ending Mar-08 (after two consecutive annual losses), as passenger revenue

starts to rise and cost-cuts take effect. JAL missed its original target of

returning to the black in the 2006/07 fiscal year, reporting a net loss of USD134

million, but it was a significant improvement on the previous year. [298 words]
