ILFC predicts big cuts in aircraft orders

Premium Analysis

The influential founder and chairman of International Lease Finance Corp (ILFC), Steven Udvar-Hazy, has told the Wall Street Journal he predicts that 25-30% of the massive Boeing and Airbus order backlogs could be threatened if oil prices continue to rise, due to the so-called airline "flake-out factor". The prediction comes on the same day Goldman Sachs added Boeing to its "conviction sell" list of stocks.
