Iberia loses traction, but Air France-KLM, SAS, Lufthansa strengthen. European airline shares

Premium Analysis

Air France-KLM gained 6.2%, SAS, with renewed hopes of a German buyer, was up 5.7%, erstwhile partner/owner Lufthansa added 5.4%, but after a lackluster - but largely anticipated - weak profit result for 2008, Iberia lagged, rising a still pleasing 3.8%.
