Europe-Asia traffic slowing

Premium Analysis

Association of European Airlines has warned of steadily diminishing

growth on Europe-Asia (“Far East”) routes. Traffic to the region

expanded by 4.6% in Jan-07, having reported double-digit increases up until

mid-2006. The region also experienced big increases in premium travel demand

in 2006, but it is not yet clear whether this segment is affected by the overall

slowdown.
