Downturn in Indian aviation does not slow the expansion of Chennai Airport

In mid Feb-09, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) officially commenced construction of the proposed 65,000 sqm international terminal facility at Chennai International Airport, with Phase I scheduled for completion by Dec-2010. The project forms part of the airport's USD247.6 million expansion programme.
