Comair, Middle East carriers' share trade down

Analysis

Shares in South Africa's Comair, operator of LCC kulula and services in South Africa for British Airways, dropped 6.3% on Monday. The carrier may face a new competitor this year, Velvet Sky, which is waiting for regulatory approval to launch services between Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg.

Also down were shares in Middle East carriers, with Kuwait National Airways, parent of Watinya, down 4% and Royal Jordanian losing 3.4%.
