About

Metropolitan Airlines (rebranded from Eurosky Airlines) was a Swiss start-up that plans to provide regional European services. The carrier had previously said its business model would be to offer Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance (ACMI) and ad-hoc charter services from Zurich Airport. Former Emirates Airline pilot and founder of Aviacore - Aviation Capital & Strategies, Oliver Meier was behind the project, together with a number of private investors. Metropolitan had intended to commence operations in Jun-2015 but failed to launch.
