Established in 1967, Japan Transocean Airlines (JTA) is a Japanese airline based at Naha Airport, Okinawa, Japan. Okinawa Prefecture is a island chain extending from southern Japan to Taiwan, and JTA operates scheduled service from Naha Airport to over ten destinations on mainland Japan. The airline is majority-owned by Japan Airlines with the remaining equity held by Okinawa investors.
