Yakutia Airlines confirms plans to take delivery of three Q300 aircraft

Yakutia Airlines confirmed (23-Jul-2014) plans to take delivery of three Bombardier Dash-8 Q300 aircraft, as part of its fleet expansion programme. Yakutia Airlines fleet manager Ivan Vinokurov said: "We will deploy Bombardier equipment on short range routes within the country and city." Mr Vinokurov added, "The first of the three aircraft we expect in Yakutsk at the end of Jul-2014, it has a long way to go, the route includes four refuelling stops. The second Q300 will be delivered in mid Aug-2014, the third in the beginning of Sep-2014. Of course everyone is interested in the year of manufacture of the aircraft, but the age by manufacture date is an inappropriate measure for aircraft, as in aviation there is such a thing as maintaining airworthiness."
