Wizz Air to increase capacity in Poland by 25% in 2015

Wizz Air announced (26-Aug-2014) plans to expand its operations in Poland in 2015 with an additional A320 aircraft to be based in Katowice and Poznan from 29-Mar-2015 and 21-May-2015 respectively, as well as the launch of five new routes - see Route Changes Table for more information:

The carrier will be the only operator on each of the above routes, according to OAG. The announcement will bring to 18 the number of Wizz Air aircraft based in Poland, representing year-on-year capacity growth of 25% in 2015. The carrier will offer a total of 103 routes to 47 destinations from seven Polish airports in 2015. Wizz Air will also increase frequency on 21 existing routes from Gdansk, Katowice, Lublin, Poznan, Szczecin and Wroclaw in summer 2015. Wizz Air CEO József Váradi said: "Today is another major step forward for WIZZ in Poland. Just in three weeks we have announced 3 new based aircraft, 13 new routes and 1.4 million additional seats in 2015."
