Wizz Air deploys first A321ceo

Wizz Air announced (25-Nov-2015) it commenced deployment of its first 230 seat A321ceo aircraft on 20-Nov-2015. Wizz Air executive vice president John Stephenson said: "The biggest benefit of the A321 for our passengers is the lower fares we can offer as result of its greater efficiency versus our current A320s. The A321 boasts a new, modern interior, and will further lower our environmental footprint." The carrier holds an order for 26 A321ceo aircraft, including nine aircraft to be delivered in 2016. Wizz Air will receive its second A321ceo in Dec-2015. The first four A321 aircraft will be based in Budapest, aircraft delivered later will be deployed on popular routes in the carrier's network. The carrier also plans to acquire 110 A321neos, with the first aircraft to be delivered in 2019. [more - original PR]
