Weather costs flybe GBP6m but overall market conditions positive

flybe stated the bad weather in Europe during Dec-2010 cost the carrier GBP6 million in revenue from cancelled services, delays and diversions and additional de-icing (Liverpool Daily Post/BBC News, 12-Jan-2011). Some 1980 services were cancelled during the period, leading to a 16% reduction in passenger carried. The carrier stated its underlying performance, excluding weather-related disruption, is in line with expections and market conditions remain positive.
