US consumer confidence drops sharply on job slowdown

US Consumer Confidence Index dropped from 62.7 in May-2010 to 52.9 in Jun-2010, reversing three consecutive months of gains, according to The Conference Board. The recent slowdown in job growth has increased uncertainty and apprehension about the future of the economy and labour market. [more]
